Women and Aging: A Graceful Approach to the Inevitable
These days, women are living longer than ever, which means there are more aging issues to deal with. Aging is a natural part of anyone's life, and for women this often means a variety of health issues that would rather be avoided. While its true that men have their fair share of age related issues, women also may suffer from many health issues that are unique to their gender.
Generally speaking, women worry about aging more than men do, and this is often because many of the issues women face can be prevented. While family history does play a part in some cases, most common age-related ailments can be prevented or minimized. These include:
- Osteoporosis
- Menopause
- Wrinkles
- Skin problems
- Cardiovascular problems
- Hormone issues
- Arthritis
- Many others
Some of the risk factors associated with these conditions are preventable with adequate nutrition and activity levels. As with any condition associated with aging, keeping an eye on what you eat and exercising can help to ensure you have a lower risk of developing these women-oriented aging conditions in the future.
