Starvation Diets And Low Carbohydrate, High Protein Diets

Starvation diets (less than 800 calories per day) and skipping meals cause more harm than good. Starvation diets of 500 calories or less can lead to gallstones. When you eat too little your body will switch into starvation mode and store fat rather than use it, slowing your metabolism down.
