Types of Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a varied form of natural health care. It offers a wide array of benefits, and most people can enjoy the all-natural healing properties of these effective holistic remedies. But what many people may not realize is that there are many types of homeopathy that they can take advantage of.
The main types of homeopathy are:
- Constitutional homeopathy - this type usually uses one, high-potency dose of an ingredient. The homeopath will then have you wait at least 6 months to monitor your symptoms and response, and then reassess your condition and make adjustments to your health plan.
- Classical homeopathy - this type is similar to constitutional homeopathy in that it uses one main ingredient, such as pulsatilla, thuja, or another herb, but the potency depends on your individual needs and the severity and frequency of your symptoms. Remedies are determined on an individual basis based on your medical history and specific conditions.
- Combination homeopathy - this is one of the most common types of homeopathy, and is what you normally see at health stores. These remedies contain at least two ingredients, and are often combined with more traditional types of medicine to provide a well-rounded approach to health care.
- Complex homeopathy - this type may contain up to 25 different types of ingredients, and is good for trying to address multiple problems at once, such as allergies. It is often used in all-natural body detox programs.
These are the main types of homeopathy, but by no means are the only forms of homeopathic and holistic care available. If you are interested in using homeopathy to improve or maintain your health, consult with your health care provider and seek the guidance of a trained homeopath to ensure you are receiving the best care possible to suit your needs and to learn more about what homeopathy is.
