Stress in the Workplace

Stress in the workplace is the primary stressor for 25 percent of people. Some doctors believe that stress in the workplace has even worsened in the past 10 years, according to a wellness Web site. But there are ways to lessen stress in the workplace and make it a healthy environment to be in and cohabitate with coworkers.

Here are several strategies you can use to reduce your stress in the workplace:

    • Identify what is stressing you out. Is it coworkers, the workload, job insecurity? Pinpoint the problem and work to resolve the issue.
    • Make friends at work and go out with them outside of work. Stay away from negative people.
    • Go on vacation
    • Find a way of coping with stress in the office. Reading and exercising can help.
