Smoking
Wrinkles - Your Skin is Begging You to Quit
Almost all smokers have tell-tale
signs of their habit: bad breath, yellow fingernails, scratchy voices,
and wrinkles - lots of them. Smoking is one of the worst things
you can do for your skin. Smoking narrows the blood vessels in your
outermost layers of skin, preventing blood from flowing to your
skin. This means that oxygen and other important nutrients have
no way of reaching it. Quitting smoking can improve your health,
and it can also improve your appearance.
Some other benefits of quitting smoking are:
- Improved lung function
- Cardiovascular health improvement
- Oral health improvement
Smoking wrinkles are deep and irreversible.
However, by quitting smoking, you can at least prevent new smoking
wrinkles from forming. There are few things you can do that are
more harmful than smoking. Quitting isn’t easy, but there
are a lot of new products on the market that can make it easier.
Contact your physician to find out what they are and which quitting
smoking techniques he or she thinks will be the best course of action
for you. Your lungs, your heart, and your skin will thank you.
