VÄXA INTERNATIONAL DONATES COMPUTER MONITORS
TO "COMPUTERS FOR KIDS" PROGRAM
This worldwide leader in the nutraceutical industry partners with this valuable Hillsborough County program
(Tampa,
FL) Växa International, a leading manufacturer
of homeopathic medicine, vitamins and nutritional
supplements, recently donated computer monitors to
"Computers for Kids,” a Hillsborough County
program that encourages donations of used computers
to recreation centers for youngsters to use during
after-school and summer programs. Hillsborough County
Commissioner Jim Norman started this program in 1996;
computer labs are now available in every recreation
center.
“We’re
honored to have the opportunity to partner with this
vital program,” says Gerry David, president
of Växa International. “Växa is a
family-minded and community-oriented company; I can’t
think of anything more important than working together
to promote child welfare.”
An
important part of Växa International’s
mission is giving back to the community, explains
William H. Harper, chairman and CEO of Växa International.
“It’s inspiring to see dedicated people
involved in worthy causes that make a difference in
so many lives. We’re grateful to be able to
play a part and give back to the communities we serve.
Växa has made a concrete commitment to play an
integral role in the community in which we live and
work and we will continue to actively pursue and fulfill
that role.”
“We’re
delighted to partner with Växa,” says Kim
Cannella, facility manager for Perrone Recreation
Center in Tampa, where the computer equipment was
distributed. “These new monitors are invaluable
to us. We can’t offer our children access to
these vital programs without the support of businesses
like Växa.”
