The pH Test Strip Advantage
After reading about
the many benefits of having a balanced body pH and the complications
of an unbalanced one, you may be wondering, “How can I test
my body pH levels?” Well, thankfully there is an easy and
inexpensive way to quickly figure out whether your body’s
environment is acidic, basic, or perfectly neutral: a pH test strip.
Usually made
of plastic or litmus paper, a pH test strip measures the pH of your saliva,
urine, or another bodily fluid to get a close estimate of your overall
body pH. Once exposed to the fluid, the pH test strip changes colors
to reveal your body pH. Easy-to-use, a quality pH test strip comes
with a color-coded chart. Once your pH test strip changes color,
simply match it to the corresponding color on the chart to find
out your body pH. Although blood pH is the best indicator of health,
saliva and urine are usually quite accurate in telling cellular
pH. A pH test strip that utilizes urinary pH is one of the most
accurate. However, many ph test strips can be used to test urinary
pH or salivary pH. If you choose to test the pH of your saliva,
do not eat for 2 hours prior to the test to avoid throwing off the
results.
