The largest obstacle
in traditional treatment for parasites is actually identifying
whether the patient in question is even infected. Most doctors
will want to confirm this fact before prescribing a treatment
for parasites; unfortunately they can only test for about 5 percent
of the parasites known to inhabit humans worldwide. Those tests
can also be unreliable and may require stool samples from three
different bowel movements to detect a parasite. The problem is
compounded by the fact that many parasite infestations present
no symptoms. If they do, the symptoms – headaches, nausea,
diarrhea – can be misdiagnosed because they fit the
profile for many maladies.
