Human Parasites: Worms
in your Intestine, Blood and Other Organs
It might sound like something
straight out of fiction: a blood-sucking worm growing in your intestine
and multiplying at a dizzying rate. Unfortunately, there is nothing
fake about that situation. The medical world has identified 85 percent
of the population as home to parasites. Many are worms, living in
human digestive tracts and even migrating to other parts of the
body, including the brain.
What’s scary is that the
host may never know that it’s happening since these organisms
have evolved to be stealth machines; drinking your blood or stealing
nutrients from your digested food without detection. Cysticercosis,
for instance, is an infection caused by the larvae of Taenia solium,
or the pork tapeworm parasite. The worms
infect a human when they ingest the eggs in undercooked pork. Symptoms
including muscle pain, blurred vision, and lumps under the skin
might not occur for months or even years after the parasite was
ingested and makes it way from the intestine, through the blood
stream, and into the muscles, brain, or eyes.
The safest way to avoid such a
ghastly disease is to take an herbal parasitic cleanser twice a
year. Unlike their chemical counterparts, these natural remedies
kill a wide spectrum of human parasites like worms, flukes (flatworms),
and protozoa. They also rid the body of toxins produced by
parasites when they die. These toxins, including high levels of
ammonia, can cause severe headaches, nausea, and diarrhea. In addition
to regular herbal cleansing washing your hands regularly, cooking
meat and fish thoroughly, and washing produce well are good ways
to stay parasite-free.
