Nutrient Facts
Maintaining proper nutrition and keeping track of what you eat is integral to maintaining a healthy body and mind. However, since everyone is different, each individual requires different amounts of each nutrient, and knowing your facts about what you need to eat can mean the difference between getting the most out of your food and not meeting your personal nutritional requirements.
Thankfully, it is fairly easy to know exactly what you are eating. Most packaged foods come with nutrient facts printed right on the packaging! However, for other foods, like fruit and vegetable nutrition, it may require a little bit of research to figure out the nutritional value of what you are eating.
Once you have determine the calorie content and other nutritional value of the foods you're eating, there are a variety of programs, from online forums to cell phone applications to old fashioned journals to help you keep track of nutrient facts and make healthy decisions about your food. Getting proper nutrition doesn't have to be difficult, even when eating in restaurants, and in fact can make eating a more worthwhile experience.
