Disease Prevention
Currently, there is no known Alzheimers
disease prevention. Though there were trials of a vaccine against
Alzheimers disease, the side effects were severe enough that the
trials were ceased. There are, however, some steps that you can
take that can lessen your risk of developing this debilitating neurological
disease, including:
- Exercise – physical activity keeps
your body and mind healthy
- Mental exercises – crossword puzzles,
reading, and other forms of mental agility exercises can keep
your mind in top condition
- Socializing – keeping your social
life active can contribute to a healthy mind
Though there isn’t a way to prevent
Alzheimers disease, there are lifestyle changes that you can make
to keep your body and mind healthy. The longer you prolong the health
of your mind, the more likely you will be to live a long and healthy
mental life.
