Live Blood Analysis
Live blood analysis is a controversial type of alternative medicine that has drawn up a huge debate within the medical community. It is also called nutritional blood analysis, live cell analysis, live blood microscopy, and nutritional microscopy, among other names. Practitioners, called live blood analysts, and supporters of this procedure claim that by using dark field microscopy to evaluate live blood cells, you are able to determine the health of the patient. Opponents of this practice, however, claim that there is little to no evidence that live blood analysis can make any kind of determination or diagnosis any earlier than traditional tests and is just a scam for making money on unnecessary testing.
The concern that many health care providers share when it comes to live blood analysis is that the tests often suggest the patient go on a regimen of supplements, causing speculation that the practice is used to push consumers to buy more supplements and vitamins.
While scientific studies haven't yet turned up evidence that suggests live blood cell analysis can successfully diagnose disease, proponents maintain that much can be learned about our health and bodies from examining our blood, and that the practice is useful in determining if further diagnostic testing is necessary.
