inflammation. In addition to skin conditions, Viola-tricolor
has been recommended to treat epilepsy, asthma, bronchitis,
and other cough-related illnesses.
The Viola-tricolor herb,
a member of the sweet violet family, was said to be so seductively
sweet that it became a plant of Venus and Aphrodite, woven
with other "plants of love" into the final scene of the famous
Unicorn Tapestries revered in the Cloister Museum in New York.
The Greeks chose Viola-tricolor to be their symbol of fertility,
while for Napoleon it was the emblem of his imperialism. The
violet Heartsease is known for its cooling, moist and soothing
virtues. Viola-tricolor has been proven useful in soothing
weeping and itching skin problems and is useful in keeping
the skin moist and supple especially when combined with Nettle
(Urtica dioica) and Red Clover (Trifolium pratense). Viola-tricolor
