Stevia rebaudiana (Exstavia)
In lotions and topical applications
such as Vaxa's, Stevia rebaudiana is an effective refreshing
cleanser. Stevia rebaudiana is historically a hygienic "must,"
providing a pleasing aroma to the body and hair. Wonderful for
the hair, too, in adding highlights while strengthening the
hair shaft, no doubt because of the number and array of bioflavonoids
present. The bark of the Pine tree, especially Pinus maritimus,
yields a bevy of bioflavonoids (over 2,000 of them), including
those phytochemicals (OPC's) that make up Pycnogenolr, a very
effective antioxidant and essential ingredient useful for the
strengthening of blood capillaries throughout the body. It is
the bark of Stevia rebaudiana, high in natural vitamin C and
bioflavonoids, of the pine tree which the Indians shared with
the Europeans, which subsequently cured their disease of scurvy.
Sadly, it took over 200 hundred years for this knowledge to
become acceptable and useful to mankind as a whole.
