Staphisagria (Staphysagria, Stavesacre)
Staphisagria may be used as a Homeopathic
or used simply as a micro-nutritional (botanical). Homeopathic
potencies accredit their strength and efficacy to the electromagnetic
signatures of the original substrate; these are scientifically
created dilutions and succussions of medicines such that generally
not even a molecule of the original substrate or medicine
is present in the medicine.
As a Homeopathic or used simply as a micro-nutritional,
Staphisagria has demonstrated effectiveness against the following
symptomology: nymphomania with extreme sensitiveness to mental
and physical impressions; the mind dwells too much on sexual
subjects; -painful sensitiveness of genital organs; -sufferings
after coition in newly married women; -inflammation of ovaries
with burning, stinging and pressing-drawing; -very sharp shooting
pains in ovary which is exceedingly sensitive to pressure;
-flow of blood from genitals a long time after menopause has
passed; -spasmodic pains in vulva and vagina; -amenorrhea
from chagrin with indignation; -menses irregular, late, profuse;
sometimes wanting (missing); first of pale blood, then dark
and clotted; occasionally spasmodic uterine contractions (Clarke).Also
effective as a homeopathic medicine for mechanical injuries
from sharp-cutting instruments: clean, incised wounds; -discharges
from wound of a greenish color (Lilienthal)
Staphisagria is also said to have the follow uses: -"Suits
clean cut wounds and symptoms traceable to surgical operations,
especially about the abdomen when colic is a troublesome condition
following. Also after lithotomy, wounds from glass, and so
on, where the pains are excruciating, rending and tearing,
causing great agony. It is an excellent remedy to use following
operations for lacerated cervix." (Dewey) -nervous affections
with marked irritability; acts on teeth and alveolar periosteum:
pain and nervousness after extraction of teeth; -lacerated
or incised wounds of cornea; -sphincters lacerated or stretched
