Sanicula uropa (Sanicula europaea)
Sanicula uropa, more commonly
spelled as Sanicula europaea, is a perennial herb found throughout
Europe and temperate Asia Minor, Syria. The herb was formerly
used as an astringent, stomachic, resolvans. Sanicula europaea
was especially used for diseases of the lungs and stomach. As
the name implies, Sanicula europaea is native to Europe, particularly
shady areas such as deciduous forests. Sanicula europaea is
a perennial plant with small white flowers, and it often grows
in rock crevices.
