Palmitic Acid
Palmitic Acid is a saturated 16-carbon
fatty acid that represents 10-20% of the normal human dietary
fat intake. Also called hexadecanoic acid, Palmitic Acid is
one of the most common saturated fatty acids found in animals
and plants. It is found in butter, cheese, milk and meat, and
Palmitic Acid is the first fatty acid produced during lipogenesis
from which longer fatty acids can be produced. For more information,
