Oak Bark (Fagaceae, Quercus robur)
The term oak is actually the name
of a genus, and oak trees are divided into multiple categories,
including Quercus oak, which are found in Asia, North America,
and Europe. The bark from this majestic tree is known to be
useful when used in lotions for cuts and burns, prompting the
body's natural restorative processes, and has even been found
to be effective when applied directly to minor open cuts, and
even useful for some gum problems! Further, white oak bark contains
many vitamins and minerals, including manganese, zinc, calcium,
and iron.
