Natrum muriaticum (sodium chloride)
Natrum muriaticum is used as a Homeopathic
medicine (mineral; tissue salt). Homeopathic potencies accredit
their strength and efficacy to the electromagnetic signatures
of the original substrate; these are scientifically created
dilutions and succussions of medicines such that generally
not even a molecule of the original substrate or medicine
is present in the medicine.
As a Homeopathic or used simply as a micro-nutritional,
Natrum muriaticum has demonstrated effectiveness against the
following symptomology: "Attack begins in the morning in bed,
diminishing after rising and moderate exercise, but becomes
worse from rapid motion, and is accompanied by nausea and
vomiting of transparent phlegm (mucous) or water; dull, heavy
headache with drowsiness and profusion of tears, sleep not
refreshing; headache before, during and after menses; pain
as if head would burst, made worse from c oughing (may go
on to loss of consciousness; twitching of limbs). " - also
for worms. (Lilienthal)
Also, as a Homeopathic or used simply as a micro-nutritional,
Natrum muriaticum has demonstrated effectiveness against the
following depressive symptomology: "The patient requiring
this remedy is melancholic, hypochondriacal, sad, hopeless
about the future, easily angered-in fact, consolation aggravates...patient
sheds floods of tears ...with this remedy there is a persistent
recalling of past unpleasantness and grievances...the patient
for whom Natrum muriaticum is suitable is also apt to have
unjustifiable antipathy against certain people." (Dewey).
