known as alfalfa, is a perennial herb grown in Europe, Asia
and North Africa. The leaves and stems of alfalfa are a source
of commercial chlorophyll. Medicago sativa is also used as a
tonic, laxative, diuretic, detoxifier, antifungal, anti-inflammatory.
