MGN-3
MGN-3 is a combination of
natural non-toxic extracts produced by integrating, through
hydrolysis, an extract from the
outer shell of rice bran with the extracts from three different
mushrooms: Shiitake (yielding Lentinan), Kawaratake
(yielding Krestin), and Suehirotake (yielding Sizofiran).
In Japan, extracts of rice bran have shown strong anti-viral
effects,
and, the three mushrooms used herein, have become the three
leading prescriptions for the treatment of cancer. MGN-3
specifically increases the population of Natural Killer (NK)
cells and improves NK activity. NK cells are the body's first
line
of immune response, making up 15% of our white blood cell
count. Each NK cell contains some very specific molecular-granules
which acts as an amunition of sorts; the NK cell attaches
itself to an enemy invader (like a cancer cell) and injects
these granules
into its interior, which then explode within 5 minutes destroying
the invader cell completely, while the NK cell remians unharmed
and free to move on to destroy other enemy cells and viruses.
MGN-3 increases the number of explosive granules in NK cells.
The more granules a NK cell carries, the more powerful it
is,
and the more virus infected cells it can destroy. MGN-3 also
works to increase interferon levels, another potent compound
produced by the body that both inhibits the replication of
viruses and other parasites whicle increasing NK cell activity.
MGN-3 also increases the formation of Tumor Necrosis Factors
(TNF's). TNF's are a group of proteins that help destroy
cancer cells. MGN-3 can increase NK activity by as much as
300%, and T-ell activity by 200% and B-cell activity by 250%.
MGN-3 has been studied for many years, working effectively
against cancers that are unaffected by angiogenesis
inhibitors (like shark cartilage), multiple myleloma ( eg.
prostate cancers, breast cancers, ovarian cancer) and appears
to be able to lessen the side effects of traditional cancer
therapies while effectively irradicating pre-cancerous cell
populations.
