Lycopene
Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant
that increases electromagnetic communication between cells.
Lycopene is a carotenoid that is found in high concentration
in tomatoes. This ingredient has many beneficial effects on
health, including the ability to lower LDL, or the "bad"
cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack and
other cardiac issues. Lycopene is also said to lower the risk
of certain cancers, including prostate cancer.
For more information on lycopene, see carotenes.
