Linoleic Acid
Linoleic acid is one of the Essential
Fatty Acids (EFA's), and it is a polyunsaturated Omega-6 fatty
acid found in most vegetable oils. Critically essential in establishing
a balanced neurology primed for optimal development, when linoleic
acid is depleted within the diet, it can lead to may neurobiological
and metabolic difficulties and dysfunctions including cardiovascular
disease and neuropathy, as well as hair loss and dryness and
slowed healing. It also reinforces skin's protective moisture
barrier and revives smoothness. For these reasons, linoleic
acid is often used in cosmetic products, especially for the
skin.
