Hydrolyzed Protein (Hydrolyzed Whey Protein, Hydro)
The process of hydrolyzation begins
to break apart the long protein molecules of various ingredients
(e.g., whey, oat, wheat etc.), enabling the body to assimilate
them easier and more efficiently. Hydrolyzed proteins and peptides
are then spoken about as "predigested" or reduced in size and
molecule weight so that they are more bioavailable and useful
to the body, even if the body is compromised by disease or poor
digestion. When ingested, hydrolyzed proteins can be used much
more rapidly than ordinary proteins, although if one uses a
good complex of digestive enzymes (like Vaxa's Digestin) with
any meal, digestion will be quickened as well. In topically
applied products, hydrolyzed proteins are thus small enough
to be useful in being transported into the skin, but only via
a micro-lipid transport system. Once there they then can be
used as raw materials needed in helping to build collagen for
smooth youthful skin. Hydrolyzed Milk Proteins, which are used
in the Vaxa Spa line, are small enough as peptides to be useful
when applied topically, especially when used with a micro-lipid
transport technology such as can be found within Vaxa-Spa Cosmeceuticals.
