Glycyrrhiza Uralensis
Glycyrrhiza uralensis, more commonly
called licorice, is an herb originating in China but used worldwide.
This plant is said to boost concentration, reduce errors, neutralize
toxins and help balance blood sugar. Glycyrrhiza uralensis is
also said to be an antiphlogistic, as well as an cholagogue,
antitussive, and antispasmodic. Further, this ingredient is
an emollient, resulting in smooth and soft skin. Glycyrrhiza
uralensis is also an expectorant and may be used for colds.
When used topically, this ingredient has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory
properties and can alleviate acne, sores, and boils, among other
skin irritation. Often, Glycyrrhiza uralensis is used as a laxative.
