Dioscurea Villosa (Mexican Yam)
Dioscurea villosa is a Mexican
yam species which is high in naturally occurring female hormones
such as progesterone, as well as DHEA, some 3% of standardized
extract. Before you take any form of Mexican yam, be sure you
know what species it is so as not to cross-hormonalize your
system. Villosa is for females, Macho Stachya is for males:
don't confuse the two! Mexican yam is said to reduce muscle
spasms, as well as act as an anti inflammatory. This ingredient
is also purported to stimulate perspiration and bile production.
