Citric Acid
One of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids,
Citric Acid is thought to be a natural moisturizer inherent
within the skin when we are young. This ingredient is found
in citrus fruits and is an organic acid. Citric acid is used
in a wide varieties of industries, from photography to cosmetics
to food products, and it is often used as a preservative to
keep foods and products from spoiling, most notably in soft
drinks. Further, this ingredient has antioxidant properties.
