Actea spicata (Baneberry)
Actea spicata, commonly known as baneberry
and bugbane, is a type of flowering plant found in
the northern hemisphere. There are multiple varieties
of this plant, and they are generally distinguished
by the color of their berries.
Actea spicata
is used as a Homeopathic or used simply as a micro-nutritional
(botanical). Homeopathic potencies accredit their
strength and efficacy to the electromagnetic signatures
of the original substrate; these are scientifically
created dilutions and succussions of medicines such
that generally not even a molecule of the original
substrate or medicine is present in the medicine.
As a Homeopathic
or used simply as a micro-nutritional, it has demonstrated
effectiveness against the following symptomology:
swelling of joints after slight fatigue; rheumatism
of small joints (ankles, toe-joints, especially joints
of hands); -right wrist pains intolerable, swollen,
red, touch intolerable, motion impossible; -lameness
of right arm (Clarke). Generally, actea spicata is
used as an antispasmodic.
