Homeopaths
Homeopaths are a type of alternative doctors who specialize in homeopathy. This practice of natural medicine has been around for centuries, ever since it was first discovered by German homeopath Samuel Hahnemann in the late 1700s. Homeopaths practice their craft by following "The Law of Similars." This theory suggests that if a patient is experience certain symptoms, then elements, including plants, minerals, and animal matter, that can cause the same symptoms can be used to treat the condition, once they are diluted and administered in small doses.
By treating people with a solution comprised of ingredients that elicit the same symptoms in a healthy person, homeopaths and supporters of homeopathic medicine believe that this practice can be used to reduce symptoms in illnesses such as:
- Colds
- Flu
- Indigestion
- Mood disorders
- Allergies
- Sleep disorders
- Cardiovascular issues
- Weight problems
- Much more
While the medicines are made from all-natural ingredients and the practices are generally considered to be safe, you should thoroughly research your condition and its homeopathic options, as well as consult with your primary care physician, before you begin taking any new supplements or begin a new health regimen.
