The premise behind holistic nutrition isn't much different than regular nutrition and healthy eating. Eating organic can get expensive, so if you are working on a budget try to purchase locally grown foods from farmers markets and buy organic when your budget allows.
- Customize your diet - Everyone is different, so why should everyone eat the same things? Holistic nutrition encourages people to create customized diet plans to ensure that all of their individual needs are being met.
- Supplement - If you are unable to get the nutrition you need through diet alone, which may people don't, it is recommended you use vitamins and nutritional supplements to ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need.
- Consider chronic health conditions - Holistic medicine takes the entire person into consideration when creating customized treatment plans, and this approach also goes for holistic nutrition. Any chronic conditions must be addressed in your diet, as the goal is to use nutrition to benefit all parts of an individual.
