Eleutherococcus senticosus, more commonly called eleuthero, is a popular adaptogenic herb used as a medicinal substance in many Eastern cultures. For many years, it was marketed in the United States as Siberian Ginseng due to its similar properties and appearance; however, it is now illegal to market anything other than Panax Ginseng as true Ginseng.

People taking high blood pressure medication and those on mycin class antibiotics should speak to their physician before taking eleuthero or any other supplement to determine any possible reactions or allergies.
