Psyllium
Husks Provide the Body with Necessary Fiber
In order for our bodies to run
at the ultimate level, we must fill it with the best possible fuel.
Fast food, low-fiber and high-cholesterol infused diets hurt the
body’s ability to digest foods properly, slowly intoxicating
the system.
A diet that is high in fiber
is the first step to a healthy body, and a fiber diet usually contains
psyllium husks. Psyllium husks come from the psyllium plant, which
contains complex carbohydrates. The psyllium husks help prevent
diarrhea, have anti-inflammatory properties and reduce the pain
caused by hemorrhoids.
Psyllium husks expand in the
colon and help absorb toxins that may have accumulated along its
walls. The use of psyllium husks to calm constipation began in India
in the 16th century. It is essential not to eat psyllium husks alone
and anyone who is pregnant should not ingest psyllium husks.
There are some mass marketed
products that contain psyllium husks to provide the body with fiber.
Still, these products aren’t colon cleansers. There are some
natural health products that provide a gentle colon cleanser and
contain psyllium husks along with other ingredients to help the
body rid itself of harmful toxins.
