Colon Constipation Can Ruin a Good Day

It is said that if you have a healthy colon, you have to have at least two or three bowel movements a day. This means to avoid colon constipation, you must be eating the right things, drinking the right things and not practicing an unhealthy lifestyle by doing things like smoking excessively.

Colon constipation can bring about a large amount of discomfort like abdominal cramps, which can hinder a person’s ability to have a good day. There are several things you can do to prevent colon constipation and keep things moving out of your system.

One of them is to eat a healthy colon cleansing diet. This diet, which consists of ingesting high amounts of fiber, green foods, fermented foods and water into your system, can help reduce colon constipation. Fiber helps stimulate bowel movements; green foods contain chlorophyll, which cleanses the body and helps repair damaged tissue in the colon; fermented foods replenish friendly bacteria; and water helps flush out toxins and prevent colon constipation.

Another method of reducing colon constipation is colon irrigation. This process, which is also known as colon hydrotherapy and colonics, works by inserting a hose into your rectum and releasing water in various temperatures and in different amounts of pressure to remove toxins from the body and prevent colon constipation. The procedure can take 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Check with your doctor before undergoing a colon irrigation to find out if it’s right for you.

Finally, you can also take the natural supplement route to prevent colon constipation. Some natural products provide a gentle and stress-free method for cleaning your colon by using ingredients like psyllium husk and seed, cascara sagrada and buckthorn and gentian. The psyllium husk and seed are a great source of fiber; buckthorn and gentian stimulate the intestines to help users have normal bowel movements and prevent colon constipation; while cascara sagrada is a natural laxative.
