Type III is the best because it is stable and long lasting, while I is the most fragile. If you consume too much sugar, glycation will convert your type III collagen into type I, leading your skin to lose suppleness. The advanced glycation end products also work to eliminate natural antioxidant enzymes from the body which are there to combat cell damaging and premature-aging-causing free radicals.

Therefore, if you’re on an anti aging mission, weight loss is a great start. Avoid prepared foods that contain loads of sugar labeled as corn syrup, barley malt, maltose, molasses, etc. Also, sugar should only be 10 percent of your daily caloric intake. Aside from an anti aging weight loss regime, you can turn back the hands of time by filling your diet with foods containing antioxidants, as well as wearing a minimum of SPF 15 everyday to keep the sun’s harmful UV rays away.
