Allergy Relief Products

Allergies. No matter where you go, there they are. Pollen, ragweed, pet dander, all can cause a major annoyance. This is why allergy relief products are so essential.
The causes for your allergies can vary—be it outdoor or indoor pollution, an unhealthy diet, increased use of chemicals—regardless, people are always on the look out for allergy relief products.

Allergy Relief Products Can Be:

  • Allergy medication—When it comes time for people to choose their allergy relief products, about 50 percent of them take prescription allergy medication while 35 percent buy over-the-counter medications. Still, not all are satisfied with their results. The most common of the allergy relief products prescribed are oral antihistamines because they block histamine, the chemical that leads to the allergic reactions.
  • Immunotherapy—patients are injected with small amounts of allergens and proteins. This is done over time to build up a person’s tolerance levels to a certain allergen.
  • Vitamins or natural—People take this with the thought that by building up certain nutrients in the body and altering abnormal physiology, the body will cease to be allergic to certain things.
  • Herbal remedies—There are certain herbs that act as natural allergy relief products by acting as antihistamines and decongestants. Those are marshmallow root, burdock, mullein, goldenseal root, eyebright, ma huang and capsicum.
