Växa Ocu-Care+ is a scientifically homeopathic
eye formula which specifically addresses the needs
of the physiology and function of the eye. Specific
nutritional care and support for our eyes can help
preserve our eyesight from waning as we grow older
as well as help protect us from specific eye problems
and common but incapacitating dysfunction.
With the
proper nutritional input, our eyes can serve us faithfully
all of our life. This formula addresses the nutritional
needs of our eyes with specific advanced homeopathic
medicinals and micro-nutritionals, yielding neurochemical
instructions for the healing and regeneration of tissues
within the eye, from the lens and cornea to the retina
and the optic nerves, supplying the known needed nutrients
to allow our eyes to function correctly.
Växa
Ocu-Care+ is a homeopathic medicinal formulated to
provide extra nutritional support for the body when
under a physician's care for such problems as detached
retina and inflammation of the optic nerve, macular
degeneration, painful pressure within the eye and
glaucoma, amblyopia, asthenopia, cataracts, retinitis,
trachoma, as well as interstitial, ulcerous or vascular
keratitis, rheumaticiritis-sharp shooting pain through
the eye and ciliary neuralgia.
Without
a physician's care and the corresponding and complementary
appropriate nutritional strategy, such as Växa
Ocu-Care+, complications such as macular degeneration,
glaucoma, and cataracts can occur or grow worse.
Researchers
from Japan (Biol Pharm Bull, 93; 16 [9], 870-5) have
found that within the lens of the eye, levels of L-Glutathione
significantly decrease with age, and that changes
in glutathione levels significantly increase the vulnerability
of the lens to cataract formation, the leading cause
of impaired vision. L-Glutathione is a powerful, and
perhaps the most available antioxidant to the body.
And specifically, high levels of glutathione afford
protection for a number of lens-related functions.
Glutathione, in its antioxidant strength, protects
the sulfur-containing proteins from oxidizing or free
radical damage. When proteins become oxidized within
the lens of the eye, they become more opaque, clouding
the lens, and stopping light from entering. Glutathione
is also necessary in maintaining the Sodium-Potassium
Pump of the body and specifically its ability to move
sodium, potassium and calcium salts in and out of
the lens itself. And again, if these salts are disproportionate,
cloudiness sets in and vision is obscured.
As Japanese
researchers have pointed out, most cases of cataracts
may be linked to scant supplies of glutathione within
the body, something that can easily be prevented with
appropriate supplementation. Recently in California,
researchers have found that macular degeneration,
the deterioration of the macular at the back of the
retina, was correlated to low glutathione levels as
well (British Journal of Ophthalmology, 94; 78 [10],
791-4), and when taking into consideration other variables
such as smoking, age, cardiovascular disease and multivitamin
use, depletion of glutathione by itself was thought
to be a major contributing factor behind macular degeneration.
